Transgender Awareness Week Nov 15-20th

Transgender Awareness Week takes place from November 15th up until November 20th which is the Day of Remembrance, a solemn day to remember lives lost in the transgender community. The week is an opportunity to educate, engage, and get active on behalf of equal rights and fair treatment for transgender and gender variant people and their families.

Its a shame and I have been guilty of doing it and that is forgetting about our Transsexual sisters. As a Gay male that is what I considered the LGBT Community to be. Gay and Lesbian. I did not do this on purpose but thats how sometimes closed minded people can be.
Unfortunately for me to even take up the fight for all LGBT Community rights is to read the story of Twila Johnson from Memphis Tenn. .. Rip Twila... Your not forgotten. One of the main reasons Sheila Putang was created was you !
